About the Alpine Regions
The alpine region is found in various mountainous regions such as the Andes, Alps, Rocky's, Himalayas, Cascade and Rift Mountains. They cover 16-20% of our Earths land. These areas consist of long winters that are usually below freezing and summers are cool and short and can get up to temperatures of 40-60. Its range is 10,000 feet above sea level and higher. The higher you climb the thinner the air gets and colder it becomes. The weather is normally dry, windy, snowy, and cold. Rainfall varies greatly depending on the region of the world it is in, what direction the wind blows, and where the ocean is.
